Default New Civic II

Hi Folks,
I've been lurking in the shadows for a few weeks and last Saturday finally picked up my new Civic w/ Nav. in magnetic pearl. The car is fantastic and after 449 miles used only 9 gallons of fuel, thanks in part, I think, to the great tips I've been reading here. I traded in my 11 yr. old Subaru which was pulling down 27 mpg on average.
Thanks for the great site,
Fradubio

Congratulations and welcome aboard. Isn't the Nav fantastic? I use it all the time especially when I am lazy and I just want to know how much longer until I arrive at my destination.

Hope to see you around the boards.

We just picked up our Magnetic Pearl Civic with Nav. Friday Night. Haven't driven it much yet but am tempted to jump in and log 500 miles just for the hell of it...

Yes, I'm really happy with the car and have to resist just going out and sitting in the driveway. I'm still figuring out the caveats (defrost= no auto stop), but happy about it. I'm also working on my enunciation as sometimes I ask for something and get something else, but I guess that is what life is like too.

At times the ride is a little hard/harsh, but I think of it as a little sporty, and I think the car looks fantastic, way better in person than some of the oddly foreshortened pics in the flyers.

My first tank heralds great things from the car, 449 miles on nine gallons. Wow!

Peace.
