Hi there (New HCH II owner)
Hello everyone,
I am a self proclaimed "Car Guy" who decided to step over to the "other side" and see where it takes me.
I have not yet (and likely will never) 100% changed my ways as I still have and will always have my 1965 Mustang Fastback.
I come from a long line of gas guzzlers. The combined MPG of my family prior to this purchase is an average of about 13 MPG and most of them are on premium unleaded.
I traded in my 2001 Lincoln LS "Hot Rod" (Loud exhaust, big wheels and tires, and complete with ghost flames on the hood) the night before last in the interest of shaving about $200+ off of my monthly fuel bill.
I hope everyone bears with me as I try to alter my way of thinking. I also hope everyone is prepared to see me modify this car in every way, shape, and form to see just how good I can get the MPG out of it.

Welcome to GH!
Over time you will learn to enjoy the economy side of things.
I drive an Insight, but I also have my gas guzzlers, too. Each have their place. no sense driving a gas guzzler when you don't need to. By the same token, no sense driving an econo car when you'd rather be listening to that engine roar.
I look forward to seeing some of the your hybrid mods.
What part of the country are you from?

I am in Tacoma, WA.
This whole way of thinking is new to me. I am an Admin on Stangnet and RPM Planets as well as the Publisher/Chief Editor for RPM Planets. So I come from a more "Performance Enthusiast" background. Hoping to get a few of your members to pop the hoods of their hybrids and bust a few knuckles in the interest of forward progress.
I won't be too much trouble though (I hope

I am not into cars myself, but I look forward to hearing what you do to your HCH.
The HCH is a different kind of "beast" but if you keep an open mind you'll enjoy it.
Cheers, Katz.
