Default New 2005 FEH (used) owner

I just purchased a used 2005 FEH (8,700 miles) form Carmax. I like it so far. Just joined to be part of group and to learn as much as I can about these vehicles.

Thanks for allowing me to join.

Welcome aboard. I got interested in hybrids and started looking at a 2005 FEH. However at the time there was way too much of a price premium and I ended up getting a regular Escape. However this year, I bought a HCH and love it. I still have the Escape and we use it for trips and carting the dog around.

Welcome aboard... My wife and I were looking at the FEH for about a year before we bought ours. Actually, my wife's mother started us off on hybrids. She bought a '05 Prius in Dec. '04. That winter she would comment about how she like the car overall but didn't like the way it handled on the snow. Then when the price of gasoline shot up close to $3.00/gal here, my wife and I decided it was time to do something about it. I wanted something I could drive all year and not be forced to park when the snow hit. I drove a 4WD SUV and didn't want to give it up. This is way we decided to purchase the FEH with 4WD. However, I still don't know how mine handles in the snow. During the last snow fall we had, I decided the roads were too bad to chance driving and spent the night at work, then drove home after the following day's work.
