Question New Used Hybrid Owner Concerns

I just bought a used 2004 Honda Civic Hybrid and have a concern, as one forum-poster said, keep me up at night wondering if I made a decent purchase.

The major concern is a very low, heavy vibration immediately after accelerating from a stop. On an incline (upwards) it's even worse and lasts a bit longer. It shakes the whole car, but, like I said, only lasts a second or two. It feels like it's coming from directly under the seat. Please tell me that this sound/vibration is normal and it's just the engine switching over.

Anyone that could give me peace of mind or at least a suggestion would be very appreciated.

If it has a CVT transmission it may need a fluid change. Also this model required the EGR valve be cleaned or replaced at around 100 K's. This causes the engine to buck which may be what you are feeling? Have Honda check it out for you. H

It sounds like it may be the CVT judder issue.
Lots of info if you follow this link:
