Post Hello World

Hi there folks. First time on the message board so forgive the mistakes.

I just picked up my NEW 2006 Ford Escape FWD April 7, 2006. Love this car!
I found this site while researching Hybrids and an glad I did. I've already learned so much in the difference between the hybrid world and the fossil fuel world that I didn't even think existed. (also whats not different.) Hope to learn more.

Down here in South Jersey the roads are mostly flat so I'm betting on getting some good gas mileage.

Hope the rest of this page works. Still have to figure out what all this stuff is on this "Post New Thread" screen and what it does.

Frank

Welcome, CanToo! Enjoy your new FEH and the world of Green Hybrid! Check out the Glossary in the orange-ish bar near the top of the page.

And some guy wrote a pretty good FAQ.

Welcome to the club, feel free to look around, and ask questions.

Most importantly, enjoy!

CanToo,

Congradulations!!! I haven't seen too many Escape Hybrid around in San Antonio. I've only seen one and I couldn't tell except the Hybrid logo on the right hand corner.

The easy ID to the FEH: Hybrid logo and word on driver and passenger door. Hybrid logo and word on liftgate. Drivers side rear "trunk" glass has the vents.

As long as you're not in front of it, you should be able to tell given good conditions to look and see it.

You're in San Antonio? The one in Texas? If you've seen a red (bumpers and all) FEH, that's me! For confirmation, it's got a white "Starfleet Academy" window sticker on the rear liftgate window, just below the wiper blade.

What color is your Prius? I often see a white or maroon/red one on my excursions around town.

Shannon,

Yes, I live in San Antonio, Texas. I live in Northwest side. Last year, someone was driving Ford Escape Hybrid in 281/1604. It may have been your SUV. I have Light Green 06' Toyota Prius with leather interior and I don't think they have too many around town. My car doesn't have licensce plate yet and I brought it from Cavender Toyota last week. I waited for it almost a year. Orginally I picked blue color and they didn't have it with navigation. I had to pick another color. Finally it came in last week and I traded 02' Prius for 06' Prius. It is fully loaded.
