Default Happy Seniors

My husband and I are 62 and 60 respectively. The decision to get the Prius just prior to his retirement was based on the "assumed" 15 year life of the car and the gas savings it will represent. We've had it for 10 days, and I am getting 54 mpg. My husband doesn't do as well! We've logged in over 400 miles, but still have plenty of gas in the bladder!

We're moving to Arizona in a few years....does anyone have any wisdom to share about the Prius in the dessert?

Welcome to GH and congratulations on your Prius! My parents live just north of Phoenix and bought a Prius in summer of 2005. They love it and have no problems with the Prius in the heat. The A/C works great. They average about 45mpg, (my dad likes to drive 75 mph or so)

I would suggest having a tint installed on the rear window - it is big and lets in a lot of heat.
