Default 8 hours into my first hybrid and loving it

Hy,

My name is Kevin and I am the proud owner of a 2005 HCH. I have had it for all of about 8 hours and I am loving every second I get to drive it. I am very please with the 45 MPG I have got over the first 50 miles. It is a far cry from the 17 MPG I was getting in my Honda Passport. I must say that I am very partial to Honda cars but hope to see continued development of all hybrid technologies and hope that ican do my part (how every small it may) in furthering the hybrid movement. I think this sight is great it was influential in my decision to go hybrid and I hope to be a regular here.

Well thats all for me today.

Welcome to the neighborhood Kevin! You will find we are a pretty nice lot and there is so much knowledge here that your 45 MPG on your first tank will be a disappointment to you eventually.

I think you are going to find driving the HCH like a video game for best mpg.

Hello!

While it takes a while to get used to all the systems, at least with me, once they did, they don't really get old, and there does start to become a game of getting good MPG with as little "granny" driving as possible.

Good luck and enjoy!

Exactly. I've pretty much peaked at my mileage and now I'm trying to sustain the peak and mesh into the existing flow of trafic better.
