In a bid to reduce carbon emissions and reduce air pollution, New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg has announced that the city's fleet of 10,000 hired limousines will be converting to hybrid technology, so that they burn far less fuel thus are safer for the environment.
Cars that are operated via hybrid technology do so via the use of fuel and battery power. The fuel that is used to drive a hybrid is far less than is needed for a regular car.
