Family Honda, Rancho Santa Margarita (Orange County)
Got on the $0 deposit list at position #11. Ponied up $2k deposit to shoot to #1. Took delivery of first one on their lot on 11/10.
Drive it like crap and your mpg is like crap. Just because it's a hybrid doesn't mean you're going to automatically get great mileage. You have to work it. I've had the mileage as good as mid-50's, and as bad as high 20's. It really depends on how committed you are in your everyday driving habits to getting good mpg.
On I-5 ----> 57 fwy to Diamond bar from Orange county this morning, @65mph, I got 46.3 mpg. (42 miles commute, door-to-door). I'm more than happy with that. It's on a slight upgrade, so I will get about 53mpg on the way home.

Started at $22400+4995+Tax => negotiated to $23000+Tax = (25000 OTD)
Did not buy.
Dealer #2:
$22400+$49 doc fee + tax => Total $24616! I bought here.

If we assume they actually pay invoice for their cars (which they dont) they still make 2000 bucks on everyone of these they sell.
For the most part I think getting MSRP shouldnt be too hard. If they wont budge, then go somewhere else. Theres that dealer in OK selling em for 1500 UNDER msrp!
