Default Suggestion for Honda

Put a "creep" switch on the car so that in very heavy traffic which creeps---the auto stop will still function---even if you only moved10 or 20 feet.

This may be better than my one-cylinder mode for these conditions!

Might want to introduce yourself and your hybrid first - it's good netiquette.

BTW - I'm poking fun at the "Smiling Bob" (Enzyte) commercials.

The autostop in the HAH will activate if I lightly lift my foot off the brake, move several feet, and reapply pressure to the brake. All while not breaking 5 mph. Must just be a HAH feature.

Mine will not. And it wastes gas because of it.

This bugs me too. Not much you can do in stop and go. However, I try to do two things:

In stop-and-go, if I'm currently autostopped I'll try to let the car ahead of me get far enough ahead so that I can start, go over 10 MPH, and stop again so the auto stop engages. This isn't alway successful or practical, but every now and again it works.

If I'm going to be stopped a while and I can see what's up ahead of me, I'll do a forced auto stop (put in neutral, turn the engine off). This works very well in drive-throughs.
