Sad Day, had a wreck

Sad Day, had a wreck
I had a wreck in my 05 HCH. I failed to yield and got crunched by a midsized SUV. Thank goodness no one was hurt.
I had both driver side doors caved in. The SUV had a dent 10 inches in diameter and an inch deep.
My estimate was $3600.00. A sad day.

I'm glad you guys had no bodily injury. It's only material damage, and hey.. the 06's are out now!

Man that really sucks. The first damage to a new vehicle cuts deep. Hopefully you have a good bodyshop in your area

Re: Sad Day, had a wreck
Sorry to hear that, but the important thing is that everyone is OK. We were recently in a hit and run in my wife's 98 civic(guy hit us on the highway, drove off while we hit the concrete median) but my wife, me and our dog weren't seriously injured (just visits to the chiropractor 3x's a week). Car was totaled but the good thing that came out of it was that we just bought a 06 hch
It sounds like you got a decent quote on fixing the car, it sounded like you'd need two new doors and probably paint...so 3,600 isn't bad for that. Again, glad everyone was OK.

Thanks. I am not too upset and grateful everyone is OK. The first hit does sting though. I forgot to ask about the airbags. They did not deploy. I don't even know if I have them. Are they standard on the 05? I should know, but I don't.
Also, my Maint Required light came on today. Wonder what that is about.
