Default Radio Antenna Location

Yesterday I had to do a 150 mile transfer on a new Chevy HHR. It is new for 06 and is like a PT Cruiser, but is a station wagon 4cyl by GM. It is kinda odd that they have the antenna on roofup front in center like the HCH. Maybe they got the idea from Honda. Could they be planning a HYB later? Doubt it, but odd that they put it there. Not normal for Chevy. Well Honda was not first with this antenna arrangement as Hudson had them back around 40s-50s. The HHR is a neat little vehicle made in Mexico. Drives really nice, except for constance upshift/downshift on hills from the automatic. I am nicknaming it a "Tijuana Taxi".
