Questions on HondaCare
Does anyone who has a HondaCare Extended warrenty know if the warrenty removes the Battery Prorate? According to my "standard" Warrenty Manual, the current ('06) battery replacement is:
- 100% for 0-36 Months<
- 60% for 37-45 Months<
- 50% for 46-55 Months<
- 40% for 56-65 Months<
- 30% for 66-75 Months<
- 20% for 76-85 Months<
- 10% for 86-95 Months<
- 5% for 96-100 Months<

Re: Questions on HondaCare
WOW ! Did I just get a shock. The dealer had no detailed information on what was and what was not covered by Hondacare, so advsied I should call Hondacare 1-800-999-5901. OK, sounds simple.
I call HondaCare and the first person could not answer my question, so refer me to "Claims". I explain I just bought the car and do not have a contract, but had questions on coverage. Her responce? "I am sorry sir but all that is detailed in the warrenty books that you receive AFTER you purchase the contract !" OK. so I need to purchase the contract and then I can find out if it is worth it ?? Sure they have a refund within 30 day's policy, but what kinda way of marketing a service is that?
I need to say I have never owned a honda before, but heard noting but good things, so this was a real suprise. Maybe they are like the Maytag guy and not used to needing to sell warrenties, because their product was so good?
