Hi I had a problem with my 2003 HCH this morning, I went to start it and it was like a dead battery when i turned the key all the dash lights dimmed and did not want to crank over. after trying a few times it finally turned over (slowly) and then started up. when it was running the battery light was on almost all the dash indicator lights were on (SRS,MAINT,ENGINE,Ect..) when i put a volt meter across the battery i was reading only 8.5 volts. i stepped on the gas pedal and it reved once then stalled and i could not crank it at all. I jump started the car with a booster pack on the battery and it started with no problem all my indicator lights went out except my SRS light and the car is charging at 13.5 volts now. and the car starts and runs fine now. could all this be from just a simple dead battery? I ran the codes and my scanner came up with 1790 and 1793 any ideas? thanks for any help in advance

Is your 12volt battery the original? If so I would replace it. H
