I just sent in a request for my "Green" E-Z Pass to New York State. You have to allready have an E-Z Pass from NYS and drive a Prius, HCH or Insight (Certain years). You send a copy of your vehicle registration to:

E-Z Pass New York Customer Service Center
PO Box 149004
Staten Island, NY 10314-9004

I also sent them my E-Z Pass Tag # and a copy of the HCH window sticker showing Honda Civic Hybrid and the vin#. My NYS HCH registration just says Honda Civic so I wanted to show them it was a hybrid.

This gives you An additional 10% off your NYS tolls. The NYS DOT website has the details. They also have a pass for the Long Island Expressway.

It's great to be green!

 

That's pretty sweet. We don't use EZ-Pass here in OH, and the Turnpike's too far away to make it useful if we did, but it's nice to see states giving perks beyond the usual HOV lane stickers to encourage conservation

Thanks for that Donald. My "Clean Pass" NY State stickers are on their way (called in today and they had my records on file). They are very nice and very funny-spoke to a Veronica.

Now I will find out about a Green E-Z Pass.

This Civic is saving me money and time left and right (okay Time=Money).

 

Was on the NYS DOT website and could not find any info on "Green Pass". Do you have the link.

It is only a discount for the Thruway for those on the Thruway plan (I am not being down on Long Island and just using the Thruway on rare occasions).
