Ordered parts today! I have the same exact commute (50+ mile) 5 days a week. Go to work in Los Angeles one route go home a different way. I will be able to track exact changes without an issue. I only use the car for commute.

It will be great to hear another confirmation on this subject. If the sample of ones with the mod with improvements is big enough, I can see a few muffler companies making some good money

What do you mean "Is there a specific type of shop that will that work?"

I beg to differ. At 75 mpg, in decent weather conditions (i.e. no head wind and above 40F), I get about 50 mpg. Granted, I don't lead foot it to get to 75, but I have , on several occasions, needed to haul my rear end quickly to get my kids at school, and pushed 75-80. My normal highway drive speed is 65-68 mph.

The only times I see tanks under 50 mpg is when my wife drives the HCH in the snow.

right... but once again, you hafta consider the use of cruise control. As you said, you don't "lead foot it" but as most of us know, Cruise Control can be a killer specially with the kinds of hills I traveled through.

Went to Autozone tonight picked up the air filter and CC Breather. Got home and UPS had delivered muffler.

CC Breather ........... 9.99
Filter .................... 24.99
Muffler ................. 31.95
