THATS cool!

I hate it when it locks you out when cars in motion.

Like lucien says, the passenger wants to do some navigating but cant....very frustrating.

The Honda OEM NAV w/voice activation is about the most accurate, clear, detailed and easiest to use NAV system that I have ever seen or used. Aftermarket setups like Garmin, Magellan, etc. don't even come close. I use it much more than I ever imagined (in an unfamiliar part of town and want to get out, just select "Go Home" and in no time you are back in familiar territory). All functions can be utilized while driving and I do it all the time. Looking up specific business addresses and other detailed programing while driving is somewhat dangerous though, even though possible...but probably no more than those that I encounter everyday driving while blind...talking on wireless phones. Look out.

I highly recommend the Honda OEM NAV system and would definitely spring for it again.

Very accurate description of how well the Honda Nav. works. I have had it in two Hondas and now have it ordered on my soon to be 06 HCH and can't wait to play with it. You can do so many different functions through the Nav.; like X/M shows info. on screen; Auto climate control; or just simply talk to the system. It is just great, Worth the money.

Where is this written? I've searched the Honda site looking for some detailed information on the system, features, etc. and have found nothing. Is there any information on the Nav system from Honda?!?

Yep, it will do all of that. I'm not sure about the DVD commands in the Honda, since it's my understanding that the DVD player will only play the NAV DVD (you can't watch a movie on the NAV screen). At least not yet, not until someone posts a hack for it!!

Yeah, those DVD commands are for Acura's DVD audio disc control.

I just found out that DVD audio is replacing CDs as a higher fidelity audio recording because of it's ability to record music in (I think) Dolby 5.1.

I'm not really seeing that this will become mainstream, but who knows. Perhaps in two or three years, CDs will be obsolete!

Wow, that's a comprehensive list. I'll have to look for some screen shots to go along with it.
