I don't know if it's appropriate for me to reply, since I have a 2004 HCH, but it was purely a matter of availability. I wanted a Hybrid, and I could get a Honda in 2 weeks vs seven months for a Prius. Also, I'd had three previous Hondas, a '76 Civic, an '89 CRX Si, and a 450cc motorcycle (don't remember the model), all trouble free. After 18 months, I have no regrets.

I'm glad to find this site and the fuel economy tips. My current mileage is 42, but I expect to see an improvement.

My first Honda was a 450cc Honda Rebel motorcycle. It was also my first motorcycle. Graduated to Harleys after that.

Then, I sold my 2nd Harley and haven't ridden since. But, the Rebel was a great starter bike.
