Default Curious as to how much?

Just curious in seeing how much people paid for their 2006 HCH. I'm talking about total price (drive out price) which includes tax, title and license. A dealer quoted me $24, 050 drive out price. I'm wondering if this is comparable to what other people have paid. I've never paid $3,500+ over invoice for any car and feel sort of taken advantage of. I know these cars are in great demand and the dealer can charge what they want but i want to hear what other people think. From what the dealer tells me, the price is not negotiable. Would appreciate any input. Thanks

Joey

I would say the majority of us paid MSRP for the vehicle...including me. That is the going rate for these vehicles since they are in demand and the gas price is already in the $3/gallon range. Most of the dealers have the car presold before it even hits the dealer.

But, there are many factors as if you have a trade and such. I had one and they gave me more than what it was worth and the tax savings when I bought the HCH II. Some people have gotten free accessories since they are paying MSRP. I looked into the Costco buying program and the dealer could easily knock off $500 off the MSRP. But, they gave me a horrible price for my trade in.

I paid just a few quid shy of £18k. I did manage to squeeze and extra £500 on the part-ex for my '02 Civic 1.6 Executive though (£4,500). Presumably Honda know what they are doing but I think they'd do better in the UK if they dropped the spec and got the price down to £16k.

I get the feeling they just aren't interested in the UK/Europe at the moment which seems a bit silly.

Just picked up my 06 Galaxy Grey last night. I've been waiting 7 weeks. I walked out the door at MSRP ($22,700). No extra doc fees since I did not finance and no sales tax in New Mexico. They also informed me there is no more putting down a deposit for incoming cars, their waiting list is out until the end of the year. I guess there is no slowing of demand!
I passed on the extended warranty, they wanted $1895 vs. Saccucci's price of $980. No brainer!
Other than that Garcia Honda of Albuquerque was great to deal with. They took care of all the paperwork ahead of time, even calling my insurance agent. I was out of there in under an hour.

I was fortunate, after endless frustration, I paid $300 below MSRP. Just got the keys yesterday (I just posted photos in the share of the HCH-II with my custom moonroof). I laid down the deposit for $23,900 when that was the price but paid $23,900 when the MSRP (NAVI) was $24,200 2 months later. So technically, I paid $300 below MSRP. I paid $945 (at the dealer) for a 7 year 120k mile $0 deductible Honda Care warranty/insurance (they tried to match www.myhondawarranty.com as best they could). Paid $1,145 for an electric single-touch moonroof, $350 for the day/night auto dimming mirror, $585 for the Lojack+early warning system, and forgot what else I got. In all, I paid $29,400 out-the-door.

I couldn't be happier.

Thanks,
Shawn

I bought mine April 5, 2006. After TTL, I paid $25,611.18. That was MSRP, tax, title, license, $14,500 for trade-in, owed $16,000, and GAP insurance. I also got the car the day I asked for it, no waiting.

Here in Phx (not sure if it is the same elsewhere), you only pay the tax on the difference between the trade-in and the new vehicle, not the whole cost of the new car.

I paid about $1,115 out of pocket. I traded in my truck (05 Titan KC SE 4x4) which I got $21000 for trade (owed zero) and I negotiated the HCH II for $22,000 + free all weather mats. So it was $1000 for the difference plust $60 for the tax on $1000 and $55 for the doc fee.
