Does this mean that the badges on our cars are at risk? I don't want some poser damaging my trunk to get the badge. Door dings are bad enough...

You mean there's ANOTHER use for my blow up doll? Cool!
Put some clothes on her, first

Once I saw a regular Civic with a hybrid badge. How could I tell? First of all, the badge was in the wrong place, also it didn't have the hybrid wheels, nor the hybrid attena, and lastly it did not have the turn indicator lights. It wasn't a hybrid.

Another time I saw a Civic coupe (which is not available in hybrid version) with hybrid wheels. I assume the person probably had the hybrid wheels because they thought it was cool looking.

There's still this Honda Accord with the Toyota Hybrid Badge on it that parks in the hybrid lot in our parking deck. I thought of reporting them to the manager, but he may start thinking I'm nuts, b/c I've already reported a Jeep Sahara with a Toyota badge. I left a note on the car, but they don't seem to care. I just want to see the person and tell them, " If you're going to lie about your car being a hybrid, you could at least have the right badge on it."

Even worse, there's an old Acura sedan with a sticker on it that says it's Hydro-Carbon Powered by Ecofuel...whatever the hell that is. That seems to be enough to be able to park in the sweet spot that is the hybrid lot.

I'd go ahead and report them. You may even hint that if this person is so willing to defraud/steal parking privs., what other questionable practices may they have at work? (That would be the ultimate in SNARKINESS)

ROFLMAO. So funny, I bet it would work, though!

Funny, with gas heading to $5/gal I was thinking of going the other way, taking the Hybrid badge OFF and replacing it an LX badge.

Less of a target you know...

I saw a little Ford 4x4 Ranger with a hybrid sticker on it.

I really don't think Ford makes Rangers in a hybrid (much less a 4x4 hybrid).

I figured it was a joke. All the black smoke as he peeled out at the light kind of gave him away.

My brother's HCH1 has been the subject of vandalism 3 times in the last half year. It has had its gas gap stolen (it had the problem where the door wouldn't shut), had its side view mirror broken off, and has had the rear windshield shattered. All 3 things in 3 different places. Coincidence, or bad luck? I really don't know, as my HCHII hasn't been a target at all yet...
