Default How far on Dunlop SPs?

I've got an '06 HCH and I keep the pressure up high (but safe) around 40 PSI. I rotote them regularly. Now, after 35,000 miles, I've notice the tread is quite worn, and the set needs to be replaced.

I'm dissappointed to have only gone 35k? How far have ya'll gone?

In terms of replacement, most recommend sticking with this set, but I don't want to have to do this every 35k. I want a set that goes 50-60k like every other set I've owned. I don't mind losing 1 or 2 mpg, but 35k is rediculous.

Thoughts?

70k miles on my last set of SP20s. 60k on the OEM Bridgestones.

45K on my last set, but I still had plenty of tread left, They were 4 years old though and started to look ugly so I put a new set on. I ran mine around 55-60lbs.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong - but the '06 and newer HCH's used different tires from the first generation. From looking around this site I have always taken note that the First generation cars are getting a lot of miles on their OEM tires but the HCH II owners are getting far fewer miles before having to buy new tires. For instance my HCH II has about 17,000 at this point. I'll be amazed if my car gets to 25K before needing tires!

I just replaced my tires at around 25,000. A lot of HCH II owners seem to be havinig a lot of issues, especially with the rear tires. I'm getting my alignment checked later this week to see if that cause.

I've got 18K+ miles on my Dunlop SP31 tires, and they look like they might go another 18K. I have had no issues with these tires, to date. (I DID have to replace one recently, due to a nail puncture, but I doubt that was the tire's fault.)

Digging up an old thread here, but I'm just about to replace my dunlops on my 2008. They are totally bald at 25k. I kept the pressure at 40psi! Sams club is running a special on some BFG's. I'm thinking about just switching brands. How much of a MPG hit will I take?

You may have the rear upper control arm problem. Are the rear tires noisy? If they are then your tires are cupped and you have neg. camber on the back Honda replaced mine, but I did it before the warranty ran out.
Cheers;
