Default Honda FCX?

I saw an interesting looking vehicle on the road that was a Honda FCX that had words "fuel cell powered" written on it and a white clean air sticker.

I can't find any info on the Honda website about the FCX or whatever and was wondering what kind of mileage it gets and where I can ?get one??

Thanks,
Shawn

I think this is a prototype hydrogen powered car. I don't think the general public can get one and its only available to some people so honda can see how it works in the real world. Here is an article link from honda:

I recently watched a documentary on those cars. Very cool, but I wouldn't get my hopes set on owning one in the near future at least. The darn things are WAy expensive!!! I recall them being in the $60k to over $100k!!!

According to the link posted below, the HEC system that charges/refuels the fueld cells also reduces the natural gas and electrical consumption of the house itself by 50%. Wow. That means it must also be producing energy not only for the vehicle but also for residential consumption.

Thanks,
Shawn

Yet another review, this time from Edmunds:

http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do...ticleId=117077

This second-generation FCX is a prototype worth more than a million dollars. It is capable of starting at temperatures as low as minus-4-degrees Fahrenheit and has a range of about 190 miles on a tank of hydrogen. The Honda Fuel Cell Stack PEMFC (Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell) delivers 107 horsepower via an electric motor. Additionally, it uses a regenerative braking system similar to what is used in hybrid cars, which converts the kinetic energy produced by the brakes into electrical energy and stores it in an ultra capacitor (no, not the "flux capacitor," from Back to the Future) which functions a bit like a battery. As a result, fuel economy is equivalent to a car getting an EPA city/highway rating of 62/51 miles per gallon of gas (57 mpg combined).
