Headlights on the HCH II
Ok. So here is the info I've compiled.
What the HCH II uses are stock Sylvania's. I know because I looked at them and pulled them out yesterday. I was looking for the brand and number.
All HCH II's use HB4 for low beams and HB3's for high beams.
HB3 = 9005
HB4 = 9006
The lumen output of the stock Sylvania's are:
1000 (+ or - 15%) with a rated life of 1000 hours for the 9006's
1700 (+ or - 15%) with a rated life of 320 hours for the 9005's
The stock Sylvania's color temp is 3200 K
The lumen output for the Sylvania Silverstars are:
1000 (+ or - 15%) with a rated life of 300 hours for the 9006's
1700 (+ or - 15%) with a rated life of 100 hours for the 9005's
The color temp of the Silverstar's are 4000 K
The European version of the Silverstar Sylvanias have:
1095 (+ or - 15%) with a rated life of 304 hours for the 9006's
1860 (+ or - 12%) with a rated life of 102 hours for the 9005's
So there you have it. It took me awhile to dig up the info, but I hope you all find it very useful. Enjoy.

Re: Headlights on the HCH II
100 or 1000 hours for the silverstars?
You're quite the researcher- thanks! We need more people with the time/know-how/motivation to research stuff so there's less guessing. The ability to cut to the important/accurate stuff in an internet search is becoming more and more important- and a skill that I pray is getting taught (though I suspect otherwise).

Re: Headlights on the HCH II
Sorry, I confused the numbers for a second. Re-read the post, I updated the numbers. And I just checked them over, so they should be right. Yeah I've had a knack for doing that, teachers in HS used to tell me that, that I could easily cut through everything and find the pertinent information. I have the motivation, and the know-how, just need to find time. And I had some extra this morning....
