Has anyone here replaced an IMA battery?

Hello and good day.
My 2003 HCH IMA light finally went on after over 134000 miles.
If I can get a rebuilt, can I do the work without special equipment?

I think it need some equipment to test all battery sticks if you want the pack to work totally well.
