Fog lamp self install?

Fog lamp self install?
Has anyone here self installed fog lamps on 2006 HCH? I've read the directions, but this step spooks me:
54. Because the battery was disconnected, you need to enter the Honda multi-matic feedback signal as described in the service manual.
Unfortunately I do not have the service manual, so what does this entail? Would I have to go to the dealer even if I did self install?

I didn't even notice that step. When it came to popping the front end off and cutting it, I figured it was too much of a project for me. The foglamps are the only accessory I had the dealer install.
