I brought my own oil and filter...paid SGD20. When the service manager heard I brought my own oil he told me hybrid go to use w30 but I told him mine is w30! lol he had to give in.

k. I paid $130+... so it would have cost about the same if I purchased my own Mobile1... going to try Mobile1 in the next oil change. :-)

There is no advantage in doing the first oil change early or too frequently thereafter. Frequent oil changes are environmentally irresponsible and there is no evidence to suggest they increase engine life with today's modern engines. In fact, if you read the "Break In Period" in your manual, it states that 1 of the 3 recommendations is to avoid changing the oil for the first time until the maintenance minder indicates it is time.

Just had my first oil change today at 8600 miles. Did both the oil and a tire rotation (A1 maintenance) for $55 using coupons from local dealerships, which my dealer accepts. Plus I got a coupon for a free car wash.

Not too bad considering their regular price for a hybrid oil change is $50.

Ya know, that darn manual that came in your glovebox can be pretty handy! (Break-in period)
