Arrow Facory leather seats for '06 Civic hybrid is a REALITY

A quick search of "http://www.honda.co.uk/" led me to this amazing pic <drool, drool> of a Civic hybrid with factory leather ($1,400 option). Notice the door panels, too. Can anyone tell me if there is any country producing factory leather Civics in left-hand drive versions? The color appears to be darker than our ivory, which would be great. If you click to select the PDF hybrid brochure, you'll find more pics of the leather.

Also noticed that the new Euro Civic's NAV system has real-time traffic as a standard feature. Does anyone know how to find out if there's a way to update/modify the US hybrid NAV for real-time traffic?

Did you notice the three spoke leather covered steering wheel and the folding armrest in the rear, or the switches for VSA, heated seats and heated mirrors? Being right hand drive the car you show shares much with Japan where they also drive on the right (as in correct) side of the road.

Remembering how Sweden changed from right to left some years ago. To ease the problem of the changeover, very sensibly all commercial vehicles changed on one Sunday and private cars and motorbikes two weeks later

Lemme see if I understand this... for two weeks, commercial vehicles drove on the left side of the street while cars and motorcycles drove on the right...

And that didn't cause any problems???

Note, UK-version Civic hybrid STANDARD FEATURES include: 4-wheel disc brakes, Vehicle Stability Asssit, Electronic Brake Force Distribution, dual-tone horn, security alarm, locking wheelnuts, heated door mirrors, leather steering wheel, rear seat center armrest, heated front seats WITH lumbar support, and chrome door handles. Did I mention a 3 yr./90,000 mile warranty? (No mileage typo.)

Check out the cool stitching on the leather seats.

I think you missed the fog lights and oval chrome exhaust extension.

Perhaps you should figure out what that fellow is talking about before making a short-sighted comment like this.

Right-hand and left-hand drive are where the steering wheel is placed in the vehicle.

Short-sighted? I understood Tulip's comment. My reply was done jokingly.

If all else fails: relax.

Gotcha. And dealer-installed leather is an option in the US, just a rare find. There is a fellow on this board with leather installed in his HCHII.

I think the dealers are using Katzkin Leather. You can check them out at: http://www.ayarinc.com They're selling the leather seats cover for about $650.00 + $300 installation. The leather are certife for the side airbags that we have on the HCH II.
