No kidding... That's good to know, I've never had experience with the vapor kind. I would prefer both if I had the choice; less chance of blowing myself to kingdom-come.

I always tighten my cap to 3 clicks and have never had any problems.

It just happened to me. I tried pressing and holding the start/reset button to reset the error, but it didn't work. Any other suggestions? Thanks!

I'm getting the same Check Gas Cap message. I tried holding the SEL/RESET button for a long time and the message won't go away. I guess the only thing to do is to wait it out.

If the message won't go away, then very likely it was not a temporary out-of-spec reading, it's probably still reading an invalid pressure value. You might want to have the dealer look at it to see if the pressure sensor has failed or gas cap isn't sealing. It's under warranty, after all.
