Default Anyone using Honda's 16" or 17" HFP or Si Wheels?

Has anyone tried the 16" or 17" Honda Civic HFP (Honda Factory Performance) rims/wheels, or the Civic Si rims/wheels on the HCH2?

Curious if there are any clearance issues.

And if anyone has tried them, how big is the hit on gas mileage?

They sure look good!

I had these on my 2007 hybrid. I had 17x7 HFP wheels. I put them on and quickly took them off. They didn't work well with silver car with bronze wheels. Also, as many of you know I had OZ Superleggera's on my 2006 hybrid. They were 17X8 with 225/45/17 tires. It was a big bit. About 7 with either set I had on. The Superleggera's were lighter than the HFPs. But, each time the tires were not low rolling resistance tires. So, that would have been the major culprit.

Honda does not recommend switching out the wheels. I have been getting use to the "pie plates" and they are growing on me. I don't plan on changing the wheels on the hybrid again.

I have attached a few photos.

Thanks, Exbauer!
I remember liking those OZ Superleggera's on your 2006. That's my car (and color, too).
I think the bronze wheels would look fine on the Magnetic Pearl, also.

But a 7 MPG hit? That's a bit much.

I AM kind of used to the pie-plate wheels. I have a nail in one of my tires, that's causing a slow leak, and I think it's in an unrepairable spot. Before plunking down close to $100 on a new Dunlop SP31, I was just considering all my options. The Si and HFP wheels (sometimes with tires) can be had for pretty reasonable prices on eBay and such.
I'll probably just get another Dunlop, though, and keep saving gas (and money).

Yeah, I know what you mean. I was able to get a set of Si wheels and tires for $400 and they only had 5000 miles on the tires. But, that was for when I traded in my Si for the hybrid. They can be had for very cheap. But, save they money and gas instead. I am trying to stop modding my car...it gets expensive.

Default Alternate wheels on the HCH

I have 16" EX wheels and tires on my HCHII. No mileage hit, and the car is much more stable.
