I have Spitzer in my district too! I will contact his office as well and let him know how I feel about his neglect of Clean Air Vehicle drivers!
I will have to take a look at the Current Bill...The one I looked at was one I read from search'n Google!

The latest version of the bill posted by dburanich does not seem to distinguish by the type of vehicle just as long as they qualify for the stickers. Let's hope this passes

This is all interesting. I filled out the application 2 times and sent an $8.00 check two times to the address on the REG-1000 form and both times, I presume it hasn't arrived. Neither the check was cashed nor returned. The first time being 5 weeks ago and the second time being two weeks ago. I guess I'm not destined for the decal but, I didn't purchase the car for that purpose anyway, but it would be nice.

Heres my timeline:
8/15 Bought Honda Civic from dealer
8/16 Mailed in pass paperwork without lic. plate #...just to try!
8/21 Dealer took paperwork to DMV..did not get plates then, said would take a week
8/28 Dealer, person in charge of DMV paperwork, called me with licene plate number
8/28 Mailed (regular mail) form with licence plate number
9/1 Check Deposited (first check sent 8/16 with form WITHOUT lic plate #)
9/5 Stickers issued
9/8 Stickers received...#74,0XX
