Another new hybrid owner
Got mine Saturday. This morning I got 68 mpg. I seem to get the best mileage when the indicator is at "deadbar," neither charging or assisting.
Do these vehicles have a break in period? If so, how many miles does it usually take before reaching optimal mileage.
I have another hybrid on the way.

Re: Another new hybrid owner
Most people are saying 3k - 5k for another 2-3 mpg. Was your 68 mpg just for a short segment? I have hit 65 mpg for a short 12 mile segment, but typically get 48-52 for total trips with 900 miles now on the car. My wife brings the overall tank average down to 44 mpg as she uses a lot of A/C and has a heavy foot.

If you got 68 MPG, you may already be at optimal mileage!
I hear 3K-5K miles is where some people get another few (2-4) MPG.
I would not expect any great differences.
How long was this 68 MPG trip?
And welcome to greenhybrid.
