Amsoil Synthetic Oil
Anyone use Amsoil Synthetic oil?
www.amsoil.com
They claim you can go 25k miles or 1 year per oil change. True or not?
Total cost for an oil change would be around $50.00

Re: Amsoil Synthetic Oil
Was wondering when they'd come out with a 0W-20 equivalent. For warranty purposes, it's probably not a good idea to go such long intervals (the maintenance minder will tattle on you, and if they strip down the engine and find 20k oil, they'll call you on it), but past that... well, it's your car Amsoil has a very good rep in the "enthusiast" realm despite not carrying the starburst logo (i forget why they don't bother), so if they say it's good, it probably is.

Re: Amsoil Synthetic Oil
Folks,
I have used AMS Oil and filters in my motorcycles for a long time and always go 2-3 times longer between changes. No problems, and better for the environment!!
The main benefit of good synthetics is changing less often, but I am sure you would run into warranty issues with Honda if you did this.
Therefore with the cars, I just bring it to Honda dealer as scheduled --
