No question the value of these cars has just increased. How much not sure but when people are clawing for a hybrid for car pool lane advantage the demand will only go up because of almost no new supply.(one's with HOV decal anyway) At the very least you will be able to expect a slight premium over sticker price for quite a while if you plan to resell. BTW, if you look on the CA DMV site an '07 does not qualify so IMO forget that. See here:

http://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/carpool/carpool.htm

Also, just sprung for the extended warranty as I'll plan on holding on to this thing till at least '11

Agree with value increasing. I just purchased extended HondaCare warranty at www.jayhondacare.com at half the cost of what my dealer initially quote me which I initially decline planning to only keep hybrid until 2008.

Whoa, do yourself a favor and cancel and buy here: www.myhondawarranty.com,
it's cheaper. I went for the 6 year 120K, 0 deductible and it was $830 your place is $905.

That's what people here and on other boards seem to be suggesting. Can someone please verify?

Thanks,

Thank you for sending me your email in support of AB 2600. Hearing from my fellow Californians is so important to me as I work to improve our great state.

I decided to sign this bill after extensive consideration and thorough deliberation with proponents and opponents of this issue. To see the final language of the bill, please visit the Official California Legislative Information website at: www.leginfo.ca.gov. I remain committed to supporting hybrid vehicles' role in protecting our environment.

Thank you again for writing to me. Your active participation in the democratic process will help ensure a brighter future for California.

Sincerely,

Arnold Schwarzenegger

The San Jose Mercury has an interesting interpretation of the new law:
http://www.mercurynews.com/mld/mercu...s/15674623.htm

"Nearly 72,000 stickers have been sent out, just shy of the current 75,000 limit. The limit will be raised to 85,000 on Jan. 1. Drivers who miss the current cutoff will need to reapply for stickers after that date."
