Default 62-mile Bug Fix - Photo of service contract

I am getting mine fixed today.
I'll pick it up in two hours.
I dropped it off yesterday and they gave me a new Accord to use for a day.
I HATE putting gas into that big thing.
I'm driving like a snail.

Oh the phone the guy said he had to replace parts.
He was surprised as he seems to recall the other ones did not need parts replaced, only software update.

Are there two levels?
Did you guys get parts replaced?

Here is a pic of the dealer's service order to fix the bug.
Did yours have the same numbers?

They said I needed more parts than others did.
It is possible the service adviser didn't know what he was talking about.

Service advisor one of those jobs where the guys, all in their low 20s, think they are supposed to know everything and do their best to never say, "I don't know but let me find out."

Same fix here. My dealer also thought it was only a software fix, only to find out they had to order and replace the assembly.

This week I got a notification letter from Honda about the bug. So I expect that anyone who has the same bug was notified, based on VIN.

Kenny,

Thanks for posting a pic of the sevice order, now when I bring mine in I could just drop the numbers instead of trying to explain my prob. My dealership is not a high volume Hybrid dealer.

Elan,

How's the fix working for you?

BTW when I gave them my car the ODO was 4333
Trip A was about 81 miles with 64 MPG.
Trip B was about 19 miles with 66 MPG.

When I got it back the ODO was 4335.6.
Trip A was 4335.6 miles with 19.2 MPG.
Trip B was also 4335.6 miles with 19.2 MPG.
Strange.

To get 19.2 MPG I assume they test drove it 2.6 miles and floored it.

My poor baby was tramatized.
I had to go get a fill up and rezero my trip meters.
Whew!

I recieved my letter today, but I still haven't got it fixed. I made an appointment two weeks ago but had to cancel. I can't wait to get it fixed. Now, that its offical, even though I knew I was affected, I guess I'll get it fixed

I suspect my car has it. Not sure. Does the funky mileage change at around 62-63. It's one of the earlier built ones. Build date in November 2005. Last 4 digits of the VIN are 5021. But what the trip meter reads and what I calculate when I fill the car are close. Haven't received a letter from Honda yet. Kind of nervous about having it fixed if it has it. Car has 3200 miles on it, don't want that erased when they fix the bug.

Here is the notification lettter from Honda:

Call any Honda dealer and give them your VIN.
They can tell you if you have the bug.

My car has the bug. Received the letter from Honda this morning. My mother bought an Opal Silver Blue, in November, build date in October. First Hybrid the dealer got in. It has a VIN in the 1200's. Her car has the bug too. I'll be getting it fixed next week or the week after. Still worried about the lifetime odometer being cleared.
