Must be that the car has a 102 gallon tank 
(Or, it could be that he/she didn't feel like entering all their past tanks, so put in one big one as a baseline to start from.)

I've done that before, enter mpg into the gal box, or gal into the mpg box,
have to go back and edit the tank to fix it.
That is skewing the data, hopefully they will catch on and fix it.
