2012 Civic IMA Problem
While coming to a stop, the car jerked and 4 lights came on. The check engine light, IMA light, brake system light, and charging system light (red battery) all came on.
The OBD 2 scanner revealed 5 codes:
P0A27 - Battery power off circuit
P1440 - IMA system problem
P15A5 - Motor current sensor circuit malfunction
P1437 - Motor power inverter (MPI) module short circuit
P0AE1 - Hybrid battery precharge contractor circuit
The car drives pretty ok in the city with only a small power loss. However, when accelerating to get on the highway, the car kicked once, like a rough shift in an automatic. Then it wouldn't hold speed no matter how hard I pressed the gas. The engine didn't rev high. I let my foot off of the gas and pushed down again, and suddenly the gas pedal worked like normal again.
All the dealership service centers are closed so I haven't gotten a second opinion from them yet. I can only go off of the codes and symptoms until tomorrow. IMA fuses are not blown.
Any idea what might be broken?
