I am about to list my 2006 HCH-II on Ebay in the next week or so. Before I do however, I thought it would be best to list it here to see if any true Hybrid Enthusiasts would like to buy it.

It is a Silver 2006 HCH-II with Navi. I got almost every option listed at the time including XM radio built in which cost me $800 alone. The car has 11,750 miles on it and runs like a dream. It is in excellent condition with the exception of a small quarter sized paint hiccup where a bird used it for target practice.

Other than that it is fabulous condition. I am on vacation right now but will be back home this Friday and can send pics if need be. The car is located in Birmingham, AL.

KBB lists this car with options in good condition at: $21,795. I will take a little bit lower to get rid of the car. I dont really want to get rid of her but with my job and me being away from home about 15 days out of the month I really can't justify the car payment. I can also deliver the car myself. I am thinking about a 700-800 mile radius from Birmingham would be optimum.

I am willing to get rid of her for $20,500 or so. Thats $1,250 BELOW what KBB lists for Private Party trade in Good condition.

Too bad you have to sell. With gas going up up up I'm sure you'll have no problems selling it.

Actually, I got a letter from the dealership which sold me my car last year stating that due to all the flooded pre-owned cars on the market after Hurricaine Katrina they needed used cars with local histories. It then went on the say that my car was worth more this month than what it was worth last month. They also stated that they would pay me "over book" value for my car and that they had put aside additional monies to do so.

After doing the KBB check up on the car KBB stated it was/is worth about $19,795 for trade in, in good condition. Being that they stated they would pay over book value for it I was sure I would get around $20,000 or so.

WRONG!! The letter was nothing more than a ruse to get me in the dealership. They only offered me $17,000 stating that they only buy cars in the FAIR category. Even if the car is in good or excellent condition.

After complaining to the General Sales Manager of the Dealership who wrote me the letter, he told me that he almost fired the salesman who offered me $17,000 for the 2006 Hybrid.

He went on to say that Hybrids were not selling very well right now and that he could barely give them away. Yeah right!! We $3.00 a gallon for gas in the south I am sure Hybrids are not doing well.
