100th Tank!
I change at 5,000 miles since maybe I'm an Old-School mechanic. I suppose there's no harm at doing it at 10-12k as the manual states, but my oil sure is dark(black) and stinky after just 5,000. I have been changing oil in various machines for 30+ years, and the industry standard has been 3,000 miles or 3 months. I would imagine with the modern machines' tolerances, and oil chemistries, you can go longer. My modern motorcycles which use pure synthetic oil still require changes at 3-5k.
