Default 06 HCH availability in Soutern Cali

HI everyone,

I am a proud owner of an 05 HCH, but my brother is looking for a new 06 HCH.

Does anyone know if there is any availability in S Cal?
Also, have people been paying above sticker for these?

It may be worth a flight and a couple days drive when you can get one 1200 below list in Bartlesville, OK. Adrian is the internet guy. (the only Honda dealer there).

As a veteran in this field, I'm probably the BEST person to talk about this. I live in Los Angeles, and let me tell you, finding an '06 hybrid is EASY. Call around. Finding the car I wanted was well, **** near impossible (Magnetic Pearl w/ NAV). You'll get it at MSRP. Not less. I ended up flying up to Sacramento to get mine, because it was one of only TWO left in the STATE at the time. I would NOT recommend buying in another state, for one simple reason. From what I understand, it will NOT be qualified as a AT-PZEV vehicle, and it will NOT carry the MANDATORY 10 year/100,000 mile warranty on the battery pack that the state of California enforces on the battery packs. Because of this, you may NOT qualify for a carpool lane sticker. There is no way to re-certify its emissions once the car is assembled, so I wouldn't risk it. Furthermore, I called all 67 dealers in the So Cal area, and none of them had them, a month ago. NOW, they are starting to call me. I've gotten about 10 calls in the last month that say they have the car, so I'm sure they have others, because they always have, just not mine. So good luck, and happy hunting.
