I got my 2005 HAH in january with 33k miles for $16,500. If your coworker is interested in the car, tell them to negotiate very agressively and they will make out ok. It is a nice car, as were accords of previous generations.

My solution: don't drive construction sites. I personally have had only one flat in the past ten years. I carry a tire repair kit, just in case, and that way I can fix it on par with a typical garage's repair service.
