Question navi diagnostics

does any one know what the F-CAN is under the navi system diagnostics?

when i pull F-CAN up in my navi it currently says ERROR ACTIVE?

does anyone know what this means or know what theirs says?

the B-CAN checks out all OK and is kinda self explanitory.

B-CAN -> the Body Control LAN controls functions including power windows, relay modules, etc.

F-CAN -> the System Control LAN —with the F signifying fast, as it communicates at 500 Kbps vs. 33.33 Kbps for the B-CAN, controls the engine and transmission ECU

The error active is normal as it means a previous error has been recorded and could be as simple as the last time you needed an oil change, or lost GPS single. You need a auto scanner to pull the codes.

As I understand it, it keeps a log of all past errors (even though it states active error) and should remain for in-depth debuging by Honda. It does not hurt anything to keep all the old events.

The Navi diag program is not to be used for seeing or clearing ECU events, it is just a status of the connection between the navi unit and many other components.

Also note, that there is a clear memory function in the diag menus, this will only clear your personal settings and addresses (HOME) from the system. Do not use.
