Honda iPod Adapter?

Does anyone have any experience with a genuine, factory installed Honda iPod adapter? Does it work as advertised. Can you navigate your iPod using the steroe controls?

Also, has anyone tried installing this themselves or is it better to have a dealer do the installation?
