Engine Malfunction
I wondered if you still had your 05 HAH. Well I see you do and still are enjoying it.
Hope you had a good New-Year Start:
Nice to see that you and AshenGrey are still around.

Check on line for your state's Lemon Law requirements. They don't HAVE to know what is wrong with the car! They don't even have to TRY &/or FIX something specific! I think every state is a little different, but in CA you have to have had your car in for the SAME complaint 4 or more times within the first 18 months or 18,000 miles (which ever comes first). I never had the problems you're talking about here, but I would make sure it's documented EVERY TIME it does it! Good luck!

The only major problem I've had with my car is the driver door power lock stopped working. It locked, but wouldn't unlock. At 37K miles, the dealer still fixed it under warranty.
I had a few moments when I wanted to sell my '05 HAH. But it was never due to problems with the car or not liking it. I've been toying with the idea of buying a single engine airplane. I figured if I sold my HAH and bought a much cheaper car, I'd have a good sized down payment for my plane. But that hasn't materialized yet. I'm still looking at planes, but I've decided to keep my HAH.
Mine was Built 04/2007 it has 200 miles and NO problem at all.
When I should expect to start hearing the first symptoms?, or it could be that mine does not has the problem?, thanks

I hope you are spared the problems I've had, I think mine started at about 1000 or so, but I thought it was just getting used to the hybrid engine functioning. 200 miles isn't much, but I don't know if any changes were made in your model. They've stopped making they hybrid accords, THANK GOD!! They kept telling me to wait until 8000 miles for the "break in period" to be over for the improved gas mileage===which never happened either. GOOD LUCK! Karen

My backfiring started at about 2500 miles. Hope you have better luck with yours - it is a super nice car otherwise.
My 2006 HAH is now at about 41,000 miles and so far I have not had anything like the backfire issue being described. My vehicle was built in 11/2005 so it would be from an early batch of the 06's. I wonder if the cars having these problems were all built within a certain date range or if they are distributed more or less randomly through the production run. Of course, the sample size of vehicles on GH is very small so it's impossible to deduce whether a large number of 06 and 07 HAH's are afflicted with this problem or the odd 3 or 4. I'm also not sure that you can conclude anything about how widespread the problem is from the way Honda is reported to have handled complaints of this nature about the car.
Personally, I still love driving my HAH and have been totally satisfied with it from Day 1, except that I wish I had bought an HAH with Nav. If/When the time comes to replace it, I can't imagine what I will get in its place; probably an Acura TL or, if it is available by then, an Accord Diesel.

I'm glad you haven't had a problem with yours. We loved ours also except for this issue. We begged Honda to fix it and told them we would give them one year to do it if they would commit to buying the car back if they were not successful. They declined. Even after they were directed to buy the car back under the Lemon Law we gave them one more opportunity. They declined that also.
I agree that it probably is not all '06 and '07 HAHs, that's just what they said.
We have now purchased a Toyota Camry Hybrid. It's quieter and gets 35 MPG as opposed to my 26.6, but I still miss the power.
