The Civic isn't technically replacing another car. It's an additional one. But it has taken the day-to-day commuter car role from an 2002 Impala. The Impala has now been retired to backup/2nd car status.

I've had a Saturn for the past 4 years...avg: 25mpg. Looking forward to boosting my comfort & mileage with my new Navi Hy. This weekend can't come soon enough.

2002 Chevy Cavalier. It was my wife's car, and she was initially sad to see it go until we increased mpg from 23-25 mpg to 40-48 mpg, depending on the season.

Three vehicles really (to FUND the new$21k HCHII):
2000 Dodge Grand Caravan - 90k miles with iffy trans, bad electrical and guano mpg.
1996 Jeep Cherokee 4x4 - 83k miles which was good for offroading (at <10mpg)
1999 Honda Accord 4cyl 5spd - 138k miles with 32+mpg. Great car but betting that the HCHII will be a better car for my daily 75 mile round trip in Ohio
