What did your HCHII Replace?

Re: What did your HCHII Replace?
I traded in my 1998 Dodge Dakota 318 V8 4X4 Club Cab gas guzzling pig for a '08 HCH II. I just got it about an hour ago. I would average 390 ~ 420 kilometers for 80 liters of gas. With the rising price of fuel, the smart choice was the hybrid. I should have done it years ago.
My carbon imprint went down at least ten folds, and I can travel hopefully 6 times further on half the fuel.

Re: What did your HCHII Replace?
My 2006 HCH replaced a Ford Ranger Pickup. Even at 20 mpg, I seldom used the pickup part. If gas stays the way it is, it should be paid for quicker than I thought. The Civic still gets me from point A to point B just fine, and in better style.

Re: What did your HCHII Replace?
I will pick up a 2006 HCHII in one or two week.
It will replace my Subaru Impreza WRX (24 mpg / 9.73 L/100km overall....thanks to my economic driving style, some other people get around 20mpg with this car)
So, in two weeks I will halve my fuel consumption
AND I will double my time from 0 - 60

A few cosmetic mods differentiate this from a stock smart fortwo cdi pure:
I had a custom leather seat job done on it:
