What did your HCHII Replace?

Re: What did your HCHII Replace?
For me is was a 1996 Accord lx-4, auto, 21 mpg in town. It had 125,000 miles on it and an oil leak from the day I bought it new. I was tired of fixing it, the dealer gave me a good trade in now I have a 2007 HCH.
I still have a 1999 Ford Ranger 4X4, yeah I live in the Pacific N/W so it is a requirement :-), actually it is nice to have to haul stuff but it had been getting 15 mpg.....It's current tank has now lasted 3 months because it scares me to $tart it up becau$e of the co$t...... I think I am getting better MPG in it too, guess the HCH has taught me to coast, anticipate lights and such but I have driven 180 miles on this tank of gas and still have 1/4 tank left, usually I only get 200 to the tank.

2002 Ford Windstar. It was a money pit, costing $3K over 18 months just to keep it running. And the MPG was about 18 and falling each month. Glad to be rid of the **** thing.

My first vehicle was a 1998 3/4 ton chevy pickup with a 454 (that's 7.4 liters). My worst winter mileage ever was 8.9 mpg (short city commute in very cold temps). My best mileage ever was 16.5. I usually get around 11, though, with a mixed commute. I still have the truck for towing/hauling, but its role as a commuter was replaced with the HCH. Loving it so far--especially saving upwards of $200 a month in gas--pays for about half the car.
