Yo Bro. Dont know if you remember or not but I had a problem with my cooling fan not turning on while maxxvolts grid charging.

The cooling fan also isn't coming on, like at all, ever, for any reason.... While driving any more then like 10 miles the DC-to-DC converter will shut off (I assume because its overheating)

Well I've been hearing that this is all because the maxxvolts grid charger eventually burns out the RPM sensor (located in the BCM) for the cooling fan.

Basically, I plan on replacing the BCM to see if that fixes it. But I want to also still be able to grid charge every other month or so.

What do you think the chances are of the grid charger burning out the new BCM I put it in? Like could it have been a fluke the first time? It didn't happen right away.

And also, to prevent it from happening again could I disconnect the BCM right before grid charging? I mean, I know it would still grid charge, but do you think the fan would come on with the BCM disconnected?
