what are some of the places that you guys buy oil at. I dont know of any that sell 0w-20/5w-20. I only had 1 oil change so far but it was around 54 bucks.

Advanced Auto Parts has a special during June on 5 quarts Mobil 1 Synthetic oil + filter for $26.88. Comes out to $5.38 a qt and you get the filter for free. it normally runs $9. Yes they have the 0W-20. I always buy 2 sets when it is on special and then I have enough for 3 oil changes with changing the filter every other time and costs what you spend on one change. Plus you know what is in there. Whenever you change it yourself or somewhere other than Honda make sure you keep a log & receipts for your records.

Just got a quote from a different dealship -- they said "around" $39. If they try to jack that quote up, I will raise hell.

I bought at Napa, but I also found 0-20 at Advance. Walmart seems to have it on an on again/off again basis, although reports lately are that they are "on" again at most stores.

The guy at the napa store said their warehouse has over 900 qts. If you get them on one of their sales, they're 32.00 a case, 6 in a case. That's a great deal. Otherwise their over 8.00 a qt.

I thought the HCHII can also use 5w-20 oil right? Those are less than $3 a quart. I can get 4 quarts for less than $10. right?

Although, 0w-20 is recommended for the HCHII, the manual does say you can use 5w-20 if you cannot find 0w-20. However, the fuel economy will be slightly less.

I don't think 5w-20 is recommended on a full time basis and at that price I wouldn't think it is a synthetic, so I would expect that your mileage will be affected. But let us know how that works out for you. Personally I think Mobil 1 syn at $5.30 a quart is a bargain with it lasting for 10k miles.

Thanks for the info. I just got back from Advanced Discount Auto and I got 10q of 0w-20 and two oil filters for $57.50. That's enough oil for a year.
