Navigation System Removal?
I will post a message to everyone to tell them when you can buy the Parrot specific harness for the Civic w/ Nav, hopefully sometime in late August or early Sept. I will also take a picture or two of my installation.

Another quick update. Howard from Quick Connect (www.parrotkits.com) helped me out big time today. Although the 2006 Civic specific parrot harness QCHon-2 is still not going to be in until early September, Howard put me in contact with his Metra support person directly. Metra is sending me the small and larger missing pins for the 70-1722 directly. I should then be able to easily solder them to the ends of the correct wires on the 71-1722 and then simply snap them into the 70-1722 in the proper positions. I should be able to get my nav system up and running again after I get back from vacation next week. I highly recommend buying both the Parrot kit and vehicle specific harness from Howard at Quick Connect as he will take care of you. Also thanks to the others on this forum for giving me the links to the music link and CD changer pdf instruction files, which are invaluable to show you how to take the dash apart.
These suggestions were excellent. I download the Honda instructions as suggested and everything went well and easy. I was scheduled to take newly acquired Honda Civic in tomorrow to have the dealership look at it. The service person said the would look at it but don't do any repairs on the Nav System if needed.
So, I called Alpine
and they said send it their way (California)
. So I did this afternoon. They said they charge $158 to repair them. I read someone else's post and they had said the same thing. I am so grateful to this Discussion Room. So helpful and right on target. There are some smart cookies out there.
