Load Driving Issue's

Re: Load Driving Issue's
The only time I find FAS worth while in the HCHII, is if I'm at a light and, for whatever reason, the Auto Stop didn't engage.
As far as driving w/ load, I try to get some speed before I climb the incline or hill and let the speed bleed off. Then it's a matter of keeping the FCD pegged a 50mpg and then giving it some gas to keep from losing too much speed and then keeping the FCD pegged at 50mpg again and then giving it some more gas. I trying to do all of this and at the same time laying of the Assist. It's a lot of work and I have a lot of hills in my area, but I'll do whatever it takes to save gas on them.
I find it takes lots of practice driving this car. I've had mine for almost 3 years and I think I'm finally getting the hang of her.

Having said this elsewhere, I'll repeat myself. I prefer a gutless car, since it entertains me far more than a point-and-shoot pocket rocket. Gas mileage is my game, and this car is more fun and challenging than other fuel mizers I've found. Having it be easy would lessen my enjoyment.
